Raptor Bay ; SW FL - Review

Avid golfers who play in Bonita Springs know that Raptor Bay is one of the premier courses as far as condition and enjoyment. It is always well maintained, from the greens to the fairways to the tee boxes. We love the nature aspect to this course, its not in a neighborhood surrounded by homes & condos like others in the area. The greens are undulating and make for difficult putts. Golf Carts have accurate GPS and even slow you down as you approach the intersection of the 2 courses.
As far as difficulty, unless you play from the black tees, its not an overly hard or long course. From where Cameron tees off, its not difficult for him at all. But its one of his favorite courses and its not uncommon to see snakes, alligators, and lots of bird species! Kids are allowed but their junior rates can be a bit high, even in season.

Pro-shop â€“ very nice setup where you drive up to the bag drop and check in before heading to the parking lot. The Driving Range is large and across from the parking lot and the putting green has a large downhill slope. The staff inside aren’t overly friendly and that would be my only knock on the course. Full service pro-shop with rental clubs, gear & clothing. There is also a restaurant on-site open for lunch now since the Phase 1 re-opening.

Raptor Bay has 2 9-hole courses – Hawk & Osprey and everyone usually starts on Hawk (the front 9).  You ride your cart down the bridge to the starter building who sets you up. There you will find restrooms, vending machines, and another putting green before you tee off. Hawk has more nature feel to it than Osprey.

Cost – in season, this can be an expensive course, usually over $100, even in the afternoons. Its free to create an on-line account and you can pay a small deposit to reserve your tee time in advance. (highly recommended) Using your PGA book in the Summer gives you access to a very well-maintained course for a great price, even for morning tee times!

Great Day at Raptor Bay in SW FL! A premiere course that we can play for super cheap using evening rates or our #PGA Book! Review will be up soon. Cam tore the course a part with a 42 on the back 9 & Zero warm up time! Including missed an Eagle putt on #9!! Until next time ....
